Our Tipis.

Do you know that all our tipis are named after cider apples?  The glamping site is located on an apple orchard and that was the inspiration when we needed to name the tipis. If you come to visit us in spring, you will be able to see the trees in blossom. By autumn the apples are fully formed and ready for harvest. Each tipi has it’s own apple tree to cover you from the sun and rain.

the orchard

All tipis are adequately spaced from each other amongst the orchard’s apple trees. Enough to give you privacy, but not too far away if you’re booking as a group.

You will also have a private outdoor eating area to have breakfast, BBQ and marshmallows on the fire.

If you are a big group, we also have a communal chill out area in the orchard to share time with your friends or other glampers.

eco glamping

On the farm, we’ve been trying our hardest to become as ‘green” as we can. You’ll find the roofs of our barns covered in solar panels. The heating for our houses is provided by a bio-mass boiler.

Not to mention the acres of woodland and grassland that sequesters carbon all year round. We aim to create a glamping experience that is as low-impact as possible, from recycling your waste from the glamping site to sustainably sourcing the wood poles for the tipi.

A great place for a family break - we went as a family of four with two young daughters and all loved it. The site is fab with six large teepees, communal toilets and showers, and a kitchen area. We stayed in Rosie - a lovely big teepee with comfy beds, atmospheric lighting and a mini fridge. Outside we had a seating area and fire pit under a shady tree. We loved the outdoor projector and film night, and the complementary marshmallows were a hit with the kids!! Communal facilities were clean and well done. The site is a two minute walk from a private beach on the River Wye where we swimmed both days! Lovely spot. We went on a tour to see the cows being milked on the farm which was fab. Hosts were lovely. Only downside was that dogs are allowed and we shared the site on our first night with a small yappy dog that wasn't always on it's lead and chased us at one point! That said, we booked a return trip with friends hours after leaving!! Already looking forward to returning.

The tipi was large, clean and comfortable. The site was the same with the facilities being excellent. We went midweek, it was quiet which suited us down to the ground. There is a lovely walk down to the river and the 'secret beach' which we eventually found!! Would absolutely recommend and return. Thank you very much

Fabulous place, just so peaceful (apart from the bull!) and beautiful open space, gorgeous tipis and well stocked kitchen/bathrooms. Lovely experience for the children, feeding the calves and walk through fields to the secret beach.

Beautiful location 10 mins walk from the river bank and with footpaths in several directions to great views. We enjoyed cooking over an open fire and using our inflatable canoe to paddle from Hoarwithy back to the site- a stunning stretch which took a couple of hours at leisurely pace to take in diverse bird life. Pauline and Andrew were wonderful and gave us a lift up to Hoarwithy, that trip being the highlight of a great weekend, capped off by a wild boar sighting in the Forest of Dean on the way home.
