Do you have a question?

If you’ve got a question, then we’ve collated all of the questions we receive before people come glamping in Herefordshire. Please browse below. We’ve divided the questions into questions about the site, how to get there, things to do and booking your stay.

If you’re looking for information regarding COVID-19, please read our guide here to see how we’re keeping you safe when you visit us.

Practicalities On-Site

We have a lost property box in the site, where we will keep all the lost items after our guest leave the site.

We are unable to send items back to customers. If we find it, we are happy to keep it until you come to collect it.

We keep items for 1 month before disposing of them.

They are about 10-15 meters away from each other.
Enough for privacy but close enough if you’re staying as a group.

You can see the map below which shows the layout of the site. The orange line shows the route from the entrance to the glamping area. The orange star shows where the toilet and shower facilities are.

Yes, there is a communal fridge that you can use.

Inside you’re safe from the wet. We’ve ensured that they are all water-tight.

Outside is another story… remind me why we live in the UK again?!

No, there are heaters and blankets. We provide enough to keep you warm, but remember it is still camping.

We don’t want to sound like your mum, but you should still probably bring a few layers for outside.

Goodness no! We’re all about disconnecting. You’ll be pleased to hear there’s pretty bad phone signal too.

No, unfortunately we don’t provide food or breakfast at this time. But we know where serves the best….

Yep, we’ve slept out in the winter and been warm. There’s an electric heater for each tipi. We also provide blankets, so don’t sweat… well maybe *literally* you will.

You bet. There’s sufficient lighting in each tipi.

We don’t provide wood or charcoal for the firepit/BBQ so would recommend bringing some with you if you wish to use these facilities.

We have a trust shop onsite, where you can buy wood for the fire pit.

There’s both a camping stove and a BBQ, per tipi. You lucky sausage.

We sure are. We welcome children to bring their parents along….

There is a small brook on-site so we recommend normal supervision, so kids please keep an eye on your parents.

We’re a dog friendly site, however we do ask not to let muddy dogs in the tipis. It is a working farm so you should keep any dogs that are prone to wandering on a lead. We don’t want to scare the cows!

Same rules apply for pet llamas.

Yes, there is electricity in each unit for lighting and 4 plugs.

Yes. We’re hoping you get close to nature… but not that close.

There’s 3 showers and 2 toilets on site, close to the tipis.

We’d recommend you bring:
–       Wellies (we are in the UK after all)
–       Food and drink
–       A USB or laptop with HDMI cable if you don’t want to watch our questionable choice of films
–       Smiles

Here’s what we’ll provide:
–       Camping stove
–       Pots n pans
–       Cutlery, utensils, plates
–       Communal fridge
–       Towels
–       Bedding and blankets
–       A good time

Unfortunately this is not something we offer because we use an external cleaning company that clean our tipis and are unable to facilitate such requests. You’re more than welcome to arrive before the guest you’re looking to surprise and add the banners yourself.

Getting There

Certainly. We’re about a 3 hour drive (worth it!).

These are our check-in and check-out times:

Check-in: from 3pm
Check-out: 11am

You’ll be given the name of your tipi ahead of booking – please bring it along with you.

Let’s be honest, we’re not going to be able to beat Google Maps at directions. So here’s the postcode that you can plug in:

White House Farm
How Caple
Herefordshire
HR1 4SR

You’ll come down a hill into a small valley. We’re in that valley. Keep an eye out for a telephone box and a sign for White House Farm.

That all depends on where you’re coming from. Our nearest train stations are Hereford, Ledbury and Gloucester. If you’re travelling by bus then Ross-On-Wye is also an option. You can get a taxi from those locations.

If you’re a jet-setter, then our nearest airports and Bristol, Cardiff and Birmingham.

A car is recommended as it will make it easier to get off-site and do activities.

Booking

Under these uncertain times, we want to help our customers so we have changed slightly our cancellation policy.

As the situation at the moment is not 100% clear, we encourage our guests to keep their booking and not cancelling them. In exchange, if closer to your booking date, the lockdown is still on or you can’t travel for any reason, we are offering guests some flexibility by allowing them to reschedule their trip for free. This will allow you to confirm your holiday when the situation is more clear while supporting small business.

We are confident the situation will change soon and we will be able to enjoy the countryside, so let’s keep positive and look forward to our future holidays!

Love and tipis,

You can check on our booking portal here: https://secure.staah.com/common-cgi/properties/b2c/Booknow.pl?action=showpage&MotelId=8630

You can indeed. Aren’t we fancy. Here’s our booking link: https://secure.staah.com/common-cgi/properties/b2c/Booknow.pl?action=showpage&MotelId=8630

Why would you want to do that? Just kiddin’, we have a 1 month cancellation policy.

We do accept large groups, but it’s likely you’ll have to book the whole site.

As for hen/stag parties – we’re a family friendly, low-noise-policy site so if that sounds ok then we can accept a whole-site booking. You will also be required to leave a damage and noise deposit.

Yes we accept whole site bookings. Either book online or get in touch!
